Getting Serious!✨

Hi Dear Readers

It is really getting serious! Coming out of the deep hole I mentioned in the last week’s post, is really starting to manifest itself! My first blog post on DearDiary was called “Taking the First Step”, so I suppose you could say that I’m now taking the second step. What I mean is that I have now decided to start spending the majority of my time on developing DearDiary.✨ No, I won’t be dropping out of university; I’ll still be doing that on the side. After a looooot of thinking, I could just feel that DearDiary is the way I want to go. That also means that there is a few things I need to clarify:

I feel like I haven’t quite lived up to the expectations in relation to the direction I said I would go when the blog just launched. Learning new skills and documenting the process was one of the elements I wished to include, along with the new topics I bring up every week. I’m still going to include them. Actually I’m right now preparing for adding them, however with a little tweak.

Not long ago I mentioned how I was going to start adding visual additions to the blog, among those videography. I feel like it makes a whole lot more sense to film rather than write about learning certain skills, so I have decided that I will keep the weakly blog posts as they are, and I will continue bringing up new topic every week. That is not to say that those posts might not include other things as well. This means that the videos will be independent from the weekly blog post.✨

Now on that note, I think this is a good opportunity to talk about being there for yourself (Yes, I am the master of smooth transitions).✨ Well, there are many ways you can be there for yourself; standing up for your own believes, treating yourself with a giant bag of candy, following your own dreams, etc.. You may notice I wrote “Own believes” and “Own dreams”, and that is because a lot of people, I find, are following paths that they feel like they “NEED” to follow. I know there can be certain conditions that make following your own path not an option. But there will always be ways for you to start taking ownership of your own life. ✨

This week I finally steered away from a path that I felt was wrong for me for a long time. Being self-employed has been a condition I decided for my own career, and I simply couldn’t wait to after finishing university to realizing that dreams. Don’t get me wrong, it takes a lot of courage to get out of your comfort zone. But that is where you learn a lot, especially about yourself.✨

If this post resonates with you, I hope it makes you start evaluating your own life situation. Starting to take yourself seriously is really brave in and of itself!✨

Lastly, you might have noticed that there has been a few changes on the DearDiary website and Instagram account. There are still more updates to come, for instance, I will start to include a discussion post on Instagram 1 hour after, meaning at 11 am CET, the blog post on Sundays. This discussion post is for you guys to interact with each other, and myself, and discuss the topic of the week. I imagine there are a few opinions out there.✨

Catch up with me on Instagram on @deardiaryofficiel during the week! Now all that is left to say is, I hope you have a marvelous week, full of abundance! ✨

Love, Mie
