The Stupid Box and Learn to do What You Love!☼

Hi Dear Readers!

Time to change things up! As you may have noticed, consistency is not my middle name. But quite frankly, screw that! I want to have a little chat about The Stupid Box that everybody want to fit into and by leaving the box behind, learn to do what you love.☼

Screw the box!☼

Lately posts have been ‘forced’ out, just trying to meet the deadline I had set in place for me. I realized I was trying to push myself into a box called “This is the proper way to blog”, and I don’t know if it’s the four Aquarius placements in my birth chart(Yes, ya girl likes astrology), but I hate being forced into a box. Not to mention, one of the things I’m promoting on this platform is that you don’t need to fit into a specific box. So, I wanted to apologize both to you guys and myself, for not practicing what I preach. I’m sorry.☼ Creating DearDiary has allowed me to grow in amazing new ways, something I’m extremely grateful for. So from now on, I will focus on being my authentic self and start doing what this blog was originally intended for.☼

Do you sometimes find yourself trying to fit into a specific box, where your body really yearns to do something else? It could literally be in any scenario: with friends, family, work, education, image, social media… I dare you to find one situation this week, where you decide to do the thing, you would rather do, instead of trying to fit into a wrong mold! Tell me about it in the comments!☼

Changing for the better!☼

When starting something new, it is very much a trial-and-error game, until you figure out what works. I suppose that’s a mentality that can be applies to nearly all aspects of life. DearDiary is no different, even though I’m very much a person, that likes to have control over and be good at things immediately. So, starting DearDiary, knowing it is a slow process that needs a lot of work, has been very challenging for me. I’m sure a lot of people can see themselves in that predicament.

On that note, maybe you guys recall me previously mentioning that I was working on some cool changes for the blog. During next week these upgrades will be implemented along the way, some of them being fairly major.☼ Probably most importantly adding videos to the platform, which I am extremely happy to announce will be implemented from Sunday, on March 27th, next week – Please stay tuned!☼

I’m also going to stop publish a weekly post and start writing whenever I feel like it or have something at heart. That could be weekly, or more rarely. I didn’t start this blog for it to be something that is being forced. And honestly, I don’t think that is something you guys would want to read. Now that I’m implementing the videos, there will still be weekly content. In addition to that, apart from a layout upgrade, there will be a slight change in the platforms I’ll be active on. Instagram will be going on the backburner for a while. I will still be active on some occasions though. In the meantime I’m going to focus my energy on YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok(deardiaryofficiel), so please go follow me on there!☼

Learning to do what you love!☼

The ‘Changing for the better’ is not just with my DearDiary platform, but definitely also on a personal level. This past year I have done some serious personal development, something my closest family has really noticed as well. Some of this personal development has been in finding out that it is okay for me to spend time on thing I like and enjoy it as well! It may sound completely crazy to “Learn to do what you love”. But when a person has been subjected to trauma, one of the ways of coping is to people please. And that can manifest itself in stopping to express oneself.

The hard but amazing truth is that you need to realize for yourself that you are worthy of being your own person, and thereby live without being chained down by other people expectations of you. It’s not something you do just like that, heck it takes a lot of hard work! Trust me, I’ve only started to see results after working with it for many years. That is why it is so important to surround yourself with people you love and support your process. And know that you are amazing and strong, otherwise you wouldn’t have come this far!☼

Now I think that is enough of me rambling, so go out and have an amazing week! Start being the change that you need in your life!☼

Love, Mie
