When Life Gets in the Way!☽
Dear Diary..
I had fully expected that this kind of entry would happen down the line, I just didn’t think that it would happen already in the second week of me having this blog. Oh well, I suppose that makes it all the more authentic! But I think this is a good opportunity to talk about some of the topics which I wanted to include at some point anyway, for instance, when life gets in the way.
Before that though, perhaps explaining what happened this week would be in order. In my first blog entry, I mentioned how I was drained from motivation before I started on my road to recovery. Well, reality is that it comes and goes in waves, which I suppose is natural. Life isn’t static, even though we might wish it sometimes. I at least do every now and then. This week I have been struggling a lot, energy wise, and been having a hard time getting out of bed. I wonder if you guys have experienced that too this week?☽ I won’t bash myself for not having started with the goals I set for myself last week. Nothing good will come out of doing that. Things don’t always go according to plan, and that’s okay! But whenever life gets in the way, it’s about treating oneself with kindness.
For me Sundays acts an opportunity to start ‘fresh’. A wave of creativity and motivation wash over me, and I get many new ideas on how to change my life for the better. This Sunday is no different. But it’s really about taking advantage of it or not, so that is my intention this time around. In the end it’s a question about how much you want it. Are you willing to put the effort in?
It takes courage to walk out of your comfort zone. Not giant leaps, but small steps towards your goals, no matter what that goal might be. Eating breakfast in the morning, or becoming a professional dancer. Both you and I have probably heard this before, but we tend to forget these small but impactful things. From tomorrow I will start each day with a nutritious breakfast. To make sure this happens, I will prepare some overnight oats which I can quickly grab. But I will not bash myself if I were to slip up sometimes! That is simply being human. What small step will you take today to slowly shape your life into what you want it to be? Write in the comments! Remember to celebrate every time you achieve a small milestone on your journey. That might just make you want to do it again! *wink* ☽
Lastly, I have spent a lot of time this week, thinking about how the direction of this blog may be a bit unclear. It has no specific tag such as a travel or food blog. I have been thinking of a few keywords, so there is something to relate to. Realness, speak the unspoken, show the journey. Hopefully the purpose will become clearer as the blog progresses.
I will check in with you guys on Instagram during the week, so please follow me on there: deardiaryofficiel.☽ Let’s keep each other motivated!
With that said, I hope you guys have an absolutely amazing week! がんばりましょう!☽
Love, Mie

I think a small step I’ll take towards slowly shaping my life into what I want to be is writing a schedule for what I want to get done over a week – that way i’d be significantly more organized ^^ even if I’d slip up with it sometimes.
ps. A nutritious oat breakfast seems like a great idea!
That’s awesome! I try to do that too. It works wonders! ♥
